Designed for applications that required a chilled water unit larger than a typical fan coil unit, but smaller than an air handler unit.

STANDARD FEATURES:
SUBSTANTIAL COST SAVINGS.  
   
The Absorption System costs less to install and operate than other heating and cooling systems. In addition, where the gas or oil-fired unit replaces an electric centrifugal unit, the use of electricity for cooling is avoided during the summer when electricity costs are at their highest.
 
PARALELL FLOW SYSTEM  
   
The possibility of crystallization is virtually non-existent in their unit, due to parallel flow system. In this unique system, refrigerant solution from the Absorber flows in two separate streams to the First Stage and Second Stage Generators. This innovative design allows the parallel flow unit to operate at much lower solution concentration and temperatures than conventional series flow systems. In addition to virtually eliminating crystallization problems, the parallel flow system also results in higher cycle efficiency.
 
 
     
3. SYSTEM FLEXIBILITY  
   
The chiller-heater is flexible: hot water, chilled water, and cooling water temperatures and flow rates can be varied to transfer a given amount of heat, provided that flow rates are not changed by more than: t 25 percent. (For conditions other than those shown in the specifications, consult)
 
4. FLOOR SPACE SAVINGS  
   
A single self-contained Absorption unit can meet all your cooling and heating requirements. Up to 40% in the floor space savings can be achieved because there is no need to install and maintain a boiler and boiler's ancillary equipment such as pumps, condensate receivers, feed water treatment, related control systems, and inter-connecting pipe and wiring.
 
5. HEAD SPACE SAVINGS  
   
With parallel flow system, The First Stage Generator can be tucked neatly alongside the main shell. This design not only saves head space, but also simplifies maintenance, since all major components can be serviced without scaffolding.
 
OPTIONAL FEATURES
 
   
1. VARIABLE OUTLET CONDITIONS
Temperatures and flow rates for chilled water, hot water and cooling water and be varied from those listed in the specifications.
Some options are listed below:
Leaving chilled water temperature of 6C can be obtained with a special energy-efficient model.
Chilled water flow rates between 50 and 150 percent of standard ratings are available.
Entering and leaving cooling water temperature limits of 20 C and 38 C are available.
Leaving hot water temperature can be increased from 60 C to 80 C with a wide range of temperature drops.
 
       
   
2. SPARE PUMP SETS
Spare pump sets consisting of solution and refrigerant pumps are available for applications in which continuous operation is critical, such as hospitals, computer rooms and industrial facilities. This often eliminates the need for standby chillers.
 
   
 
   
3. MODIFIED TUBE CONSTRUCTION
A variety of tube thickness and materials is available to meet special requirements such as for industrial processes.
 
       
   
4. LEAD-LAG OPERATION
When more than one machine to be installed in building, controls can be provided for lead-lag operation as desired.
 
       
   
6. ADVANCED SPRAY HEAD DESIGN
Stainless steel Evaporator and Absorter spray heads provide an extremely uniform, very soft, low-pressure mist. This extends tube life in the Evaporator and Absorber by substantially reducing erosion. It also improves the cycle's operating efficiency because the uniform spray distribution eliminates hot spots and cold spots in the heat exchangers and results in a uniform rate of heat transfer. And self-cleaning spray heads eliminate clogging.
 
       
   
7. PUMP ISOLATION VALVES SIMPLIFY MAINTENANCE
Suction and discharge isolation valves on the Solution and Refrigerant Pumps make routine inspection and maintenance quick and simple with no loss of vacuum, no loss of solution, and no chance of contamination. The isolation valves also reduce substantially the time and effort required for pump service.
 
       
   
8. HIGHEST QUALITY PUMPS
Downtime and maintenance costs are significantly reduced because motor pump assemblies are hermetically sealed, self- lubricating and precision fabricated from the highest quality materials available.
 
       
   
9. HIGHLY EFFECTIVE INHIBITORS
The inhibitors used in Absorption unit's lithium bromide solution are non-toxic lithium nitrates, the result of extensive research on inhibitors effectiveness. These inhibitors not only reduce corrosion and extend tube life, but also are safe and environmentally acceptable.
 
       
    10. SIMPLE OPERATION
Operation of the Absorption unit does not require highly skilled or specially trained personnel.
 
       
   
11. VVATER BOXES
The Absorption unit shall be equipped with hinged water boxes (machine sizes above 200 tons only) at both ends of the evaporator, condenser and absorber water circuits, for easy access to the tube bundles. Water boxes shall also be equipped with drain valves and air vent valves.
